OTR Campground Facilities

Food Concession The food concession stand is located on vendor row to provide limited food service. Their menu and hours vary, but the menu normally includes hot dogs, donuts, soft drinks, and other gourmet delights.
Vendors Cavers who sell, buy, and trade caving related merchandise are invited to setup at OTR. However, there are some rules. First, you must be a caver. Second, you must get permission from the vendor coordinator. Third, you must pay a fee. Fourth, the vendor coordinator will designate you an area. Please do not set up outside that area. Fifth, the fee that you pay is based on the size of the selling area you use not the volume of business you do. All disputes are settled at the discretion of the vendor coordinator. As OTR gets larger, we receive more requests from new vendors for space. So contact the vendor coordinator early to make sure you can get a space.
Garbage

Garbage bags will be provided to everyone at the Gate. Please use them. Please dump your trash only in the designated collection area, in the large garbage containers at the top of the entrance road, close to the Gate.   The garbage containers closer to the paviilion tends to fill during the event, so when you leave on Monday, please take your garbage to the containers closer to the gate.  We appreciate your cooperation in not leaving trash at your campsite or by the porta-pots.

A word of note:  In the past some people have brought furniture (sofa's, easy chairs, etc.) to OTR and left it at their camp site when they left. Not only does this leave disposing of this to the few remaining volunteers, it also increases the cost for garbage pick up.  Additional cost of garbage will result in cut backs in some other area at OTR the next.   If you do decide to bring furniture , please be sure to take it with you when you leave.

Electricity We will have electricity at the main pavilion, first aid station, registration, and vendor areas, but none at individual campsites. All electricity will be for staff use only; and the OTR Chair will disconnect anyone trying to tap these sources.
Roads Please follow all posted road signs. Only staff vendor vehicles, being used for official purposes, are allowed on vendor row during OTR.
Kiddie’s Corral The fenced playground is available for all registered children. The Kiddie Corral is open from 8 AM until dusk. Children of all ages must be accompanied by a parent.  Children are the responsibility of their parents at all times. OTR will not provide playground supervisors.  Excessive roughness and dangerous toys are discouraged. Any parent may send any child back to their camp and notify security if the situation warrants.
Recycling Please recycle aluminum cans in the recycling center, located on the main road next to the garbage collection center.
Showers and Toilets Showers are available at the campground with an ample supply of both cold and hot water. Portable toilets are located throughout the campground.
Parking Please do not block the roads when you park. Do not park along the main entrance road (between registration and the main pavilion). You may be towed at your expense.
Ice Bags of ice can be purchased at the Gate and at Med Tent, at the end of Vendor Row. To purchase ice at the Gate, please pay for an ice ticket at Registration. Gate staff do not handle cash transactions. You may use ice tickets and/or cash at Med Tent for ice.
