OTR Policy
This page is a general guide.
For updated policy information, please refer to the OTR Program
printed each year. Any policy disputes will be settled at
the discretion of the OTR Chair.
| Bonfires |
A
large bonfire is located near the main pavilion. Private bonfires are
discouraged and must be kept small and contained in a nonflammable
structure that you bring and take home with you. They are subject to
inspection and removal by OTR staff. Fire rings made of rocks are NOT
allowed. A very limited number of half-drum containers are available for
use while on-site. Please ask the OTR Chair for permission before using
one. Do not remove firewood from the bonfire area unless you receive
permission from the OTR Chair |
| PET
POLICY |
Please note that
as of OTR 2000 reunion, NO PETS will be allowed on site.
|
| The
Law |
Although
OTR is a self-policed gathering, it is not immune to the laws of the State
of West Virginia. Deputies of the Randolph County sheriffs department
and the state police typically cruise through the campground twice a day. |
| Guests |
OTR
Guests will have all the privileges that TRA members have, except the
right to vote. They may compete in all contests and are eligible to win
prizes. Guests sponsors shall be held responsible for the actions of
their guests. Approximately, 25% of OTR attendees are guests, and they pay
a higher entrance fee than regular OTR attendees. |
| Firearms
and Fireworks |
Firearms,
dangerous weapons of any kind, potato guns, fireworks, and other
projectiles are not allowed into the campground. If caught possessing or
using an item which security determines is dangerous to others, the OTR
Chair may expel you from the event without refund. So dont risk it. |
