THE ROBERTSON ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP FORM AND INFORMATION

The Robertson Association (TRA) was created to administer the annual cavers event known as the Old Timers Reunion (OTR). To attend OTR you must be a TRA member or a guest of a TRA member. TRA members may bring up to two guests. Each applicant for "Regular" or "Junior" membership must meet at least one or more of the following requirements.

Is a member of one of the National Speleological Society’s Internal Organizations.

Is a member of any other organization recognized by The Robertson Association. Currently PSC, WVACS, Scum Ridge or the Toronto Caving Group. Proof of membership is required.

Can submit their qualifications as a Caver (listing caves and cavers) to Membership Secretary. This must include detailed caving background, and supporting letters from two (2) regular TRA members in addition to the sponsoring TRA member.

Classes of TRA Membership are:

Regular Member - Age 18 or over, proof of age required.
Junior Member - Under age 18
Family Dependent - Someone age 18 or older and is an Immediate Member of the Sponsor's family. (Typically, non-caving spouses, or children (age 18 or older) of Regular members)

A SPONSOR IS REQUIRED FOR TRA MEMBERSHIP

Members of The Robertson Association must be endorsed or sponsored by a current member of The Robertson Association. Basically, we want the TRA member to certify that the new member is a caver and/or a member of the recognized organization listed as a qualifier for membership. Please include the printed name, signature and phone number of the endorser or sponsor on the TRA membership form.

PLEASE KEEP OTR A CAVER'S EVENT

Most members of The Robertson Association feel that OTR is too crowded and there are too many non-caving guests attending. We cannot easily expand our land, water, and sanitary facilities. Most TRA members seem to want to have OTR be a place to meet old friends, trade stories, play games, and go caving. It is the responsibility of every TRA member not to invite to OTR those who have never been caving or have no desire to cave. Please do your part to keep OTR a Caver's event.

TRA APPLICATION FEE IS $10.00

The TRA application fee is $10.00. This is good for a lifetime membership in The Robertson Association. If you are not approved for membership, your application fee will be returned.
