Historically
dog owners, and more recently pet owners in general have
been discouraged from bringing their animals to OTR.
Due
to the rising number of complaints,
beginning with OTR-2000,
no pet of any type will be allowed
on the site from
the weekend prior to OTR through
the end of OTR.
If you have any questions about this you should
contact the OTR chair.
Parents are responsible
for the behavior of their children. Children should never be
unattended. If you can't watch your children at all times,
bring a babysitter. Children misbehaving are the same as
anyone else and thus subject to immediate removal from OTR.
Of increasing
concern are children throwing unopened soda cans in the
bonfire. This is unsafe.
Anyone caught throwing unopened soda cans in the fire will
be removed from OTR. This includes children as well as their
parents.
Overflow Camping
The overflow camp area in the
South East quadrant is designed to welcome OTR's later
arrivals. It will open in three stages which will be
clearly marked on the signs at entrances to the camp area. The first area,
the lower perimeter, will open at 5 pm Thursday. The second area
is the interior, which opens at 12 noon Friday. The last
to open is the upper area adjacent to the public road, which
opens at 5 pm Friday. If you plan to camp in that
area, plan your arrival time accordingly.
Be prepared to show a valid
photo ID. Everyone that wishes to attend OTR
this year MUST have a photo ID, unless accompanied by a
parent or guardian. NO PHOTO
ID NO OTR. ID's will be checked
at registration.
