SURVEY COMPASS CONTEST

Schedule of Speleo Events

OBJECTIVE:	Contestant will be required to accurately survey a closed loop of eight (8) stations. Winner measured by survey with the smallest closure error.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:	Contestants must supply their own surveying instruments. Possibly even bring your own mosquito juice.
EQUIPMENT PROVIDED:	None.
GUIDELINES:	Pick-up and return contest forms at Main Registration Pavilion. Allow a half-hour to complete. Contestants will not get as wet or excessively grimy and gritty as you would doing the real thing. Contestants measure the azimuth and the inclination between each station. Results are recorded on a pre-printed form. Distance will be measured by the judge to expedite the surveying processes. All forms must be turned in by 12 Noon on Sunday.
