SLEEPING BAG CONTEST

BACKGROUND This event was inspired by the practice in days gone by of some modest cavers changing clothes.  My, how times have changed
OBJECTIVE: Timed Event.  Singles & Doubles.  Contestant(s) undresses & redresses in the minimum amount of time while staying (mostly) inside a zipped sleeping bag.  Decisions of the judge are final.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:

Contestant(s) must be fully dressed with minimum of five (5) articles of clothing: 

a.   Shirt with sleeves (front and outside must be identifiable).  Shirt must extend down to navel
b. Long pants with fasteners at waist.  No elastic waist bands. 
c. Socks which cover ankle joints.
d. Underpants are required

No shoes. For safety, remove all watches, jewelry, etc.

EQUIPMENT PROVIDED: Sleeping bag on mat.
GUIDELINES:

Participation in event counts towards overall individual and grotto totals.   Judge reserves right to ban unusual clothing or techniques.

1.   Start with bag pulled up to back of neck with hands on outside of bag above head.
2. Undress & place all clothing outside bag.Judge will count articles of clothing.
3. Redress begins when judge says "Go!"  In DOUBLES, both contestants' clothing must be outside bag before either can start redressing.
4. After redressing, pull bag up and place hands above head on outside of bag.
5. No part of body below waist may touch the mat.
6. Knees and buttocks may not come out of bag.
7.

Clothing must be properly fastened and oriented (right side out) at start and finish. (Orientation of underwear will not be checked.) Junior contestants do not remove underwear
