Guidelines for award nomination

The TRA awards are peer awards in that only people you nominate are elegible to receive these awards. There are two types of awards you may nominate someone for:

The OTR Fellow Award

The Fellows Award recognizes a significant commitment of time and energy. Many of the first recipients of the award have worked tirelessly for decades. The Award carries recognition of a job well done and a framed certificate.  Nominees should be members in good standing for the past two years. The number awarded this year will be based upon the number of nominees received.

The Robbie Award

The Robbie Award was created to recognize consistent dedication over a period of years, often over a lifetime, to the Robertson Association and the Old Timer’s Reunion. This award carries with it the gratitude of a grateful membership and board of trustees, plus free admission to the annual meeting, and of course a framed certificate. Nominees should be from the current membership in good standing for the past five years. We will award no more than two Robbies a year.

Nominations

You may fill out the form below to submit your nomination, or you may submit it directly to the Committee Chair. Nominations are due on January 15 of each year. All nominations are reviewed by the Awards Committee, but often the only information that the committee has to go on is what you provide in your nomination. There are only a few awards given out each year, and many deserving individuals. Please be descriptive, and reference examples of what your nominee has done to help OTR over the years.

Qualifications

To be considered for an award an individual must have been a TRA member in good standing for the past two years. This means that they must have attended the past two reunions.

Note: Nominations are NOT retained from one year to the next. If for some reason your nominee does not receive an award, please consider resubmitting again next year. There are only a limited number of awards, and so many worthy people. Not everyone nominated will receive an award.
