TRA Awards

Each year volunteers donate many hours and substantial funds to insure that OTR comes off without a hitch. These volunteers do this without expectation of rembursement of any kind. Involvement in the TRA organization is reward in itself. It's for these people that the TRA Awards were created. These awards hold special meaning to the recipient. For a volunteer who has dedicated much of their time to support OTR, the recognition that their peers have noticed and appreciate their work is often the highest level of satification.

These awards do not come easy. The only way someone will receive an award is by being nominated by other TRA members and then only after having been a TRA member for two or more years. There are only a few awards given out each year, and there are many deserving individuals. Please take the time to submit your nomination for an award.

TRA members are invited to present nominees for The Robbie and the Fellow Awards to the TRA Awards Committee in advance of each Old Timers Reunion. Presentations are made on Saturday evening at the annual OTR. If you have any questions please feel free to contact any of the committee members listed below.

Award Descriptions

The Robbie Award

The Robbie Award was created to recognize consistent dedication over a period of years, often over a lifetime, to the Robertson Association and the Old Timer’s Reunion. This award carries with it the gratitude of a grateful membership and board of trustees, plus free admission to the annual meeting, and of course a framed certificate. Nominees should be from the current membership in good standing for the past five years. We will award no more than two Robbies a year.

The OTR Fellows Award

The Fellows Award recognizes a significant commitment of time and energy. Many of the first recipients of the award have worked tirelessly for decades. The Award carries recognition of a job well done and a framed certificate.  Nominees should be members in good standing for the past two years. The number awarded this year will be based upon the number of nominees received.
